Celebrate the Holidays at Miller Nature Preserve

Visitors can enjoy the spectacular holiday exhibit, Poinsettia Pandemonium, at the Miller Nature Preserve in Avon, which is part of The Lorain County Metropolitan Park District. The Conservatory and Visitor Center, designed by Domokur Architects, also includes a demonstration kitchen, gift shop and outdoor patio garden which can be reserved for events.
Metroparks chose to create a Conservatory at this 78 acre park on Center Road in honor of the rich history of the greenhouse industry in Avon. Various plant species are on display in the Conservatory including Orchids, Bonsai, Desert and Carnivorous Plants. The park opened to the public in the spring of 2011. Future phases will include construction of trails throughout the remainder of the site, connecting the surrounding neighborhoods with the park.
Admission to the Conservatory is $2 per person.  Poinsettia Pandemonium will be on display through January 22, 2012, while other events are held at the Conservatory and Center throughout the year.
