The Jewish Community of Washington DC partnered with the Baltimore Jewish community to redevelop its resident camp that had been in operation since 1987 on a 367 acre site in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Almost all existing camp facilities were removed and replaced with several villages of camper housing and development of a main camp commons. The commons includes four major buildings, Aleph and Bet Lodges, the Arts Center and the Dining Hall. A series of program activities areas surround the commons, including the aquatics center, activity field and courts, adventure center and zip line down to the lake. All facility improvements were completed in 2005.
