Camp Ramah in California includes 97 acres of pine and live oak in the Ojai Valley north of Los Angeles. The focus of the Master Plan was to expand development into the 20 acre orange orchard along the western boarder of the property. Major projects included a new parking lot, pool, multipurpose center, adventure course and renovation of the original ranch house into a retreat center. A number of smaller program projects have been completed over the past several years to enhance program opportunities at camp. The most significant has been the application of solar voltaic cells on three sides of the roof of the dining hall which has reduced energy costs by 30 percent.
