Domokur Architects is providing full architectural design and construction services for a new Dining Hall at Camp Juniper Knoll for the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Camp Juniper Knoll, which opened in 1926, was in need of replacing a demolished structure previously occupying approximately 8,000 square feet in East Troy, Wisconsin. The Dining Hall is a single story, approximately 6,900 SF, free-standing structure designed to seat 200 campers and host a wide range of activities and presentations. The Dining Hall includes a full commercial kitchen, support facilities, a Trading Post, and accommodations to park 94 cars while striving to preserve the historic camp grounds. This project, created entirely in Autodesk Revit, started construction in Fall of 2015.
