Establishing a new working relationship in 2015, Domokur Architects developed a design to renovate an existing building into which Westfield Bank could relocate their Canton Branch. This design will define a new direction for Westfield in terms of their functional layout and aesthetic as they update marketing, technology and methods in which they offer banking services.
A primary feature of the Lobby is the “media wall” which draws attention as customers enter the branch. Bordered at the top and bottom with wood veneer, an inset of blue backpainted glass provides opportunities for various digital and fixed marketing materials. Other new components include a dual Teller Pod, an In-Lobby Teller unit and a Tech Bar, allowing the staff various ways to interact with customers and meet more personal needs. Offices and Conference Rooms are enclosed with fully glazed walls giving the entire space an open feel and allowing natural light to pass through from the exterior windows.
The exterior modifications include the addition of a two-lane drive-thru canopy, the replacement of existing EIFS banding and gable entrance surrounds with contemporary metal paneling and new landscaping around the building. The parking and drives are also being reconfigured as part of a larger plaza redevelopment.
