The Board of the Herbert Wescoat Memorial Library selected Domokur Architects to assist them with the expansion and renovation of their Library to better serve McArthur and Vinton County, Ohio. A two-story addition will house the Adult stacks on the Upper Level and a Community Room on the Lower Level. The existing Library, constructed in 1990, will undergo a complete renovation, including rearrangement of spaces to consolidate all of the public library functions on the Upper Level. The renovated Lower Level houses support spaces, including book storage, staff lounge, restrooms, and a catering prep room serving the new Community Room. A new Lower Level public entrance will allow the public to use the Community Room even when the Library is closed. Construction is ongoing, with an expected completion in the spring of 2016.
